Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce

Overview

This level 3 diploma is completed alongside a relevant childcare care role, reinforcing the learner's knowledge of what it means for them to be working with children aged 0-5. This course also prepares delegates for anticipated development for children above the ages of 5.

This qualification confirms competence and provides a ‘license to practice’ in the following work roles:

  • Level 3 practitioner in a day nursery or in nursery school
  • Practitioner in reception classes in a primary school
  • Level 3 practitioner in a pre-school Assistant in Children's Centres.

Requirements

As assessment takes place in the workplace, delegates must be employed in a relevant vocational setting in order to enrol on the course.

Duration

Learners are encouraged to learn at their own pace over the 24 months they have to complete this course. Because this course is self-paced, many learners will finish their diploma sooner.

If a student needs to put their diploma on hold, we do require a letter of commitment so that they may return to the programme at a later date.

Did you Know?

A common question we are asked is "what is the difference between NVQ, QCF and RQF diplomas?" The answer is far simpler than you may think...

All three are abbreviations of the same qualification. While the term 'NVQ' may still be the most popular, this was superseded by 'QCF' in 2010 and then changed to 'RQF' in 2015.
